What fun!........I'm excited and honored to be chosen as one of the "50 Best Blogs For The Avid Antiquer" at Photography Colleges! I'm thrilled to be among such great company! I have no idea how my blog got picked, and, just like when Google picked me for "Blogs of Note" earlier this year, I didn't realize it until friends told me! (I wondered why suddenly I was getting 500 visits a day from all over the world!) Anyway, I'm a grateful blogger......

ReplyDeleteHey again...the burlap is from the garden section at Menards/Lowes...I stole it from my kitchen curtains to make this project...ha...but it is sewn on.
ReplyDeleteFirst I wrapped the frame wires with coffee stained twill tape, only wrapping the top and bottom and two of the side wires, just so I'd have something to sew it on, then I just cut off the bulk of the fabric leaving it rough cut.
Maybe I should do a tutorial on the blog how to sew shades. I'm going to do the same process with any old fabrics and not put on the trimmings, just leaving them frayed at the edges.
