~It's all about the thrill of the hunt and cruisin' backroads searching for rusty gold. Rummaging for cool pieces of antiquity is only part of the adventure. Next comes the challenge of re-purposing into new creations with updated functionality. Favorite finds are architectural iron, wood salvage, industrial, lighting fixtures, automobilia, farm salvage, and old hardware. But the real story, which always transcends the pickin', is about the interesting people and the unique places discovered along the way!~

Does the Adam's family live here?? Kinda creepy~but very cool anyway! I love old architecture too-but yours in the south is so much better! Thanks for sharing, Julie
What a beautiful old house. I can imagine she would have quite the tale to tell if she could talk, don't you think? I love to look at old houses and imagine the life they have led back when they were brand new and so very loved. I would love to know the story of my house, it's over 80 years old. Hugs, cindy s
SIGH...do you suppose the original color was red??? What great architectural finds, boy couldn't ya just move right into that old relic...as is!!!
I just can't get enough of the back roads, wondering what their lives must've been like...a shoe tree and a coon dog cemetery...how Southun is that!!!
I'm comin' right down...we can be the next American Pickers...GIRLS gone wild...ha!
Great pictures - love the houses, architecture, fences, signs, everything! Doesn't look creepy at all to me, looks like it is aging a little bit gracefully and looks loved!

I am a sucker for old houses. I TRIED to restore an old farmhouse, vintage 1863. Still in progress waiting for my energy to return. When I see old places like this all I can think is, I hope some smart person with lots of muscle and cash adopts it. I hate to see these old places torn down. So many have gone away in our town over the last ten years. Love your side trips.
Great old house. The fencing is divine.
