So Beautiful

This palm tree-hugging Florida girl~who has been known to complain just a wee bit about the cold and lack of sunshine around this time of year~was stopped dead in her tracks by the amazingly beautiful world of white the morning light revealed!

After such a blessed holiday, filled with wonderful times spent with family and friends, it was so very much like the icing on a magnificent cake.....the Birthday cake of our Savior to be exact....and rumor has it that this is the first time it has happened around here in over 100 years!

As I walked the paths of this scenic 900 acre park (where I do most of my cardio miles) I was amazed at how different everything looked in all that fluffy white splendor!

So beautiful.....it took my breath away!
(Umm.....that might also be the result of extra calories consumed and significant lack of exercise over the last few weeks!)

Isn't it great? We spent Christmas eve with my daughter and family in KY and awoke to 5 inches. It was so pretty. It WAS the icing on the cake! Blessings your way!

What a beautiful scene.
I agree it is amazing how SNOW changes the familiar--to something magnificent. Enjoy!

I talked to Lauri yesterday and she told me you guys had snow! Just lovely! I know what you mean about the landscape looking different with a blanket of snow on it! Glad you had a wonderful Christmas!

Welcome to my world...it was so wonderful to see the sun yesterday morning, I went out in my hiking boots and jammies and just wandered around in the yard and snapped photos...it is truly magical...BUT TOO DERNED COLD!!! Mom said it was 22 over night in Lake Placid, I remember that brutal cold down there, harsh winds replaced warm, salty breezes...but I'd move back in a heart beat.
Mark from Cherry Hill Antiques(Arcadia) said there's a space for me anytime I want to move back...that boy doth tempt!!! If for only in the winter months....SIGH!!! I loved painting furniture outside in the middle of January!

Enjoy your fabulous countryside and I'll be seein' ya next year!!!

I can not dispute the beauty of it. I think appreciated more so when you don't expect it to hang around for 3 months.

Lovely around the holidays but by the second or third week of January I usually have had enough.

Well your photo is lovely and the way I wish our winter wonderland was. We have had so much snow this year, 17 inches at a time, and just discovered yesterday that half of our roof on a pole-barn collasped ....the septic is non-effective...the world of snow/artic cold is not my favorite conversation presently! But it goes to show if we have been hit so hard, the rest of the country is also getting effected. Enjoy your snowfall! Thanks for sharing it, as winter should be, gentle and lovely!

Nashville also got hit with a splash of snow on Christmas and it was a pleasure to see it come, and then go away.....lol...I used to live up north, but I'm happier here. Snow doesn't stick around as long as it does up north.
Enjoy it while you've got it!

Love the snow pictures! Your Blog is Great too! I just found you a few days ago. I especially like the wired mirrow! I have some old mirrows that I wanted to hang in a grouping but they don't have a back or a way to hang them so I think I might try my hand at doing something like that to mine.
I am new to Blog Land & would love it if you would check me out sometime too!
