~It's all about the thrill of the hunt and cruisin' backroads searching for rusty gold. Rummaging for cool pieces of antiquity is only part of the adventure. Next comes the challenge of re-purposing into new creations with updated functionality. Favorite finds are architectural iron, wood salvage, industrial, lighting fixtures, automobilia, farm salvage, and old hardware. But the real story, which always transcends the pickin', is about the interesting people and the unique places discovered along the way!~

Isnt't this a wonderful old home. Reid and I actually know the owners and have supplied materials for him to fix it up. Each time he replaces windows, doors, etc., it gets vandalized. He lives in Lawrenceville and I think he finally gave up on fixing it up because of the vandalism. The home and it's surroundsings really deserves someone to love and treasure it who can stay there full time and work on it. I spent many summers in that area with my uncle who owned cotton fields down Snows Mill Road. I loved going to the cotton mill and leaving our cotton! Such wonderful memories! Thanks!

I live in Ohio and you just don't see things like that around here. I hope it's not too late for someone to rescue and love this home. What a beauty she is! That stair case!! The pillars! And the fence. What an absolute showplace! It's like time just stood still all around. Please post if anyone should ever restore this house. Thanks again for sharing!!
