The next layer........

We got another layer moved into the booth today.....I had forgotten how much work this is!! (starting a new space from scratch, I mean, and this heat makes it harder) It's still very sparse, and we brought in a lot of things from Lakewood, so some of this will look familiar.

Now is the fun part....finishing up with more layers of fresh vintage treasures and handmade creations.

I made a tin flower banner for the front, and will be adding large collage tags spelling "welcome" to hang from the flowers on the chippy headboard.

So much work.......I feel a junkin' break coming on!

(It is getting so hard to find great primitive furniture and unique and affordable vintage stuff around this area......I need to go North for a pickin' trip--suggestions gladly accepted--and I've even made a flyer like Mike and Frank use!)

Your new space looks great! I wish we had that much room, and bigger furniture pieces. Right now we have a lot of "smalls." We'll get there!
Your aesthetic is so beautiful, you are very creative! :)

Your booth looks so inviting. I love the overhead frame...so many possibilities and it makes it look really cozy. Lots of work, but worth the effort. Wish I could visit. Also, I love the chippy board with the tin flowers.
Best of luck to you.

Hey Nancy, I must have missed a post about your new booth. It looks great! Where is it? Permanent? I really enjoyed your blog with the hall tree. That is such a neat idea with an old door. It made me think some old primitive cabin doors I have in the barn, and how cute they could be with the primitive look. Nashville Flea Market so sent a link of the schedule http://www.nashvilleexpocenter.org/expo/fleamarket/dates.asp The new offical name for the state fairgrounds is Nashville Expo Center. They will be having the Nashville Antique Show there in Feb. again too. I will not be able to go in Aug. due to the TN Walking Horse Celebration, which we will be working everyday. Also, we are planning on doing the Springfield, Oh. Extravaganza again this year. It is such a great and fun show In late Sept. Let me know if you think you would like to go. It is a blast for pickers as well as buyers. blessings, carrell
