"Something In The Air"......meet Lee.....

I'm so glad Lee has moved into Hall G at the Lakewood show....she is a very interesting lady, and I love her booth....it's like walking onto the set of "Green Mansions"! When I first saw Lee's business card, I thought "Tillandsias" was her last name, but it's the botanical name of the types of plants (air plants--of which there are thousand of varieties) that she uses in her creations.

She takes unique containers and fills them with these interesting, low maintenance plants, and displays them with lots of unusual and fun accessories (love her use of tree branches and vines...can we ever get enough of them?)......
.
Lee is a photostylist who attended the Pratt Institute in NY, had her own graphic design business in NYC for 17 years, and was art director for companies like Wall Street Journal, Con Edison, American Express, and WABC tv.

Lee mentioned she had lived in Japan for 4 years, and has traveled the world extensively......I hope to get a chance to talk to her more at the next show and ask her about all the places she has been!

Stop in and say HI to Lee.......the next Lakewood show is in two weeks (uh oh....I'd better get crankin'...I have been so busy doing everything BUT getting ready for the show!!)

My mo and dad would love this booth. I'm sure they are smiling from heaven because they adored tillandsias and we had them all over the florida residence. I remember my mom and dad brouight up 50 small tillandsias in shells to give to my son's class in Illinois. My son brought his grandparents in as his show and tell. It was great. Sea Witch

Good Morning Nancy,
Love Lee's spot in the G building, the one that I always enjoy the most and spend the most... I will pass along your message to Clayton. He loves every second of serving our country which is the ultimate service I'd say. I enjoyed seeing both you and Martha on Friday. Sorry we didn't have mroe to offer outside. That will come I would say more so when shows aren't underway. I was serious about the "hag list" ~ we'd love having you if you'd ever like to try a shop setting. Keys are a big bonus for our dealers that allows flexibility in maintaining especially for those with other jobs. We admire your over the top talent, always incredible creations, use or repurposed items and gosh the best part ~ how you make it look all arranged so delightfully. Happy Sunday! Hoping for a few extra hours to see you all next weekend. My fingers are crossed.
